First designs of a new character for a collab story I'm writing with my friend.

Name: Original spelling is on the drawing - characters are from his native language. It is pronouced 'Ah-Zai' and more commonly spelled Azhai. Croydon is the name of his cat. Azhai created a cape that enables him to talk. He also possesses hidden magic of his own.

He is a Royal Warlock from the Kingdom of Dunlor. A year prior to the story he was sent on a mission to a neighbouring kingdom, upon his return he found Dunlor in ruins. Although there were deaths, most of the Royals and civilians could not be found among the corpses - they had vanished without a trace. Azhai seeks answers and also the culprit that stole his home.

Tools: Magic staff - connected and charged by special runes. Sphere - for present day insight on anywhere he desires to see. Casting scrolls (for magicks he created) and his Casting book (existing magicks).

Dunlor's emblem is a weeping sun and moon. Azhai is a very proud man and still wears his kingdom's emblem proudly, he is also brave/stupid as he does not seem to fear the attention is draws to him. By now, it is common knowledge that the Kingdom is no more. Although he wants vengence for his land, he has not let it eat at him, he still smiles optimistically.

I really enjoyed drawing this guy! I really tried to push myself into learning something new here - tried out some new colouring techniques and brushes. It's not perfect everywhere but I'm happy with it
