It's good to know I wasn't the only one who thought this would happen. Β I am dying for them to get together, among other Loki pairings I ship. Β He's the ultimate play boy of mythology though, so he could have all of the Avengers if he chose. Β But I especially want him and Natasha to suffer the throes of romantic agony.

I enjoy Loki/Sif myself. Because according to actual Norse mythology Sif was Thor's wife and Loki at a feast after Sif poured him a drink claimed she slept with him behind Thor's back. XD And Sif just looks WICKED in the Thor movies. Love her long black hair and gothic look so I see her blending well with Loki in romance.

I know. Β I love how she doesn't take crap from anyone. Β None of the Norse Goddesses do, even if they're staying more on the home front rather than the frontline of battle in mythology. Β  I can see him pulling his "You know you love me." smarmy smile with her, and her adamantly refusing to fall for it, but inside she's squeeing like a fangirl.
