Description This is neither an abstract painting, nor is it the boiling atmosphere of some gasous planet: it's the soil of my aquarium or more specific the diatoms (upper part, brownish-reddish) and cyano bacteria (lower part, cyan strands) living between glass and soil.

Where the higher plants stick their roots into the soil (not shown), they suck away the nutrients for these beings, so when my aquarium will be fully grown, these textures between soil and glass will vanish, leaving only sand and roots.

Wow, I didn't expect diatoms and cyanobacteria to look like that. But very nice, really looks like some sort of abstract painting or so
