Description Edit: Completely forgot it was raining in this scene, so I added the rain!


This...KILLED me!

It feels like I've spent the entire day on it but it's only been a few hours...

and I don't even like it all that much...

It was just so hard to draw, I have no idea why though!

I think it's the amount of characters, there's too many for one picture -_-

Anyway, this is my contest entry for 's contest/collab, I had to finish it by tonight because the contest ends tomorrow, or else I would be working on collabs, sorry that I haven't finished my next one yet By school lied and sent us back a day early but I do quite like my new timetable, since dropping ICT I have a bunch of free periods and some days I can even come home early! I'll have to use these to work but still, more free time than last year, I'm really happy!

Spoilers for Warriors: Dark River

Anyway, back to the picture, I chose to draw the scene from 'Dark River' where Lionpaw, Jaypaw, Hollypaw, Heatherpaw and Breezepaw save the WindClan kits from drowning in the tunnels.

I couldn't remember who was holding which kit so I just gave them random ones XD And I don't know why Breezepaw is so small o.O

It was really hard, the water was so difficult and I'm still not too pleased with it. Also, no reflections, I know that's unnatural but trust me, it looks better without them, I spent waaay too long trying to get good-looking reflections but absolutely nothing worked so I gave up, sorry D;

I like the effects you used for the water, AND the perspective is quite good as well.
I've been itching to read Warrior Cats... maybe I'll pick them up at the library ^^

Thanks so much, I'm glad the water looks good, I had a lot of trouble with that X3
Oh I'd highly recommend them, you should definitely try them But I'd say definitely start with the first series, personally they kinda lost the plot in the third series (I'm halfway through it at the moment but I kinda just, stopped, and I haven't even started the 4th series yet :/) But the first series is amazing, the second's not too bad either, definitely worth a read

No problem! And yeah, I'll definitely check them out! lol, I guess the author was getting tired around the 3rd series. I feel the same way reading Order of the Pheonix from Harry Potter. It's rather... slow. XD

Haha yeah, I've never actually read any of the later Harry Potter books but I heard a lot of people say that, I guess after writing sooo many books you'll get tired in the end I think this will be the last Warriors series personally (although they might still write special editions)

Haha lots of people in school have read it, I tried but I never got into it like everyone else X3 Haha well I hope you'll enjoy it I have to say that despite the letdown of the newer series, it's still one of my favourite book series ever

Ah that is true! I guess the rain would have make little rings in the water then, I tried to do that but it turned out bad so I had to get rid of it in the end Thank you though!

I love it! This is a very nice picture! I can only imagine how long this took. Each of the cats look great! I love their expressions and poses. Very well done. And those kittens are just plain adorable.

Water is really hard to draw, especially getting the reflections right. D: Oh well, I still think this looks great!

Nice! I was going to enter that contest and draw this scene, but I never entered for some reason. ^^" I don't think I've ever seen this drawn before, actually. You did an awesome job at depicting the scene. I love Jayfeather's eyes and how you drew Hollyleaf.
