Would be great again to see them share a little mother / daughter love in another drawing.
I do not read any vampire books as individual sticks out as better than others.
Pandora and Marius has always seemed to me to be the most tragic and best vampires in the story because they do not actually want to do other evil but have no choice, and not even chosen a life as immortal.
Do not so much to Sybelle, but would be great to see Pandora take a little of her and help her into her new life.
Maybe teach her to fly or lie her in his chest, like a mother with her daughter before the sun rises.
That should be more focus on Pandora and Marius as a couple. They were close to each other from the start and later again together.
What do you think?
Thanks fro the answer and lovely image.

I can't see them all that much as mother and daughter, or well I guess I always shy away from that way to name it, because all the relationships Anne writes between the characters are sensual and I see theirs that way too, if not in this particular drawing.
I love Marius best of all, but I don't think they are any more tragic than say Armand or Louis; particularly not Pandora, she willingly chose her immortal life and she was always very good at handling the responsibility of her monstrous nature, as I read it. Both Marius and Pandora don't see themselves as evil (Like Louis and Armand do) so they aren't as tragic to me, though they do regulate their blood-drinking.
I do like the idea of Pandora as teacher to Sybelle though!
Marius and Pandora aren't my favourite couple, that's Marius and Armand, but I do like Pandora and it's clear they do love each other very much.
You're welcome and thanks!

She is tragic for that reason, sure, but not because she is a vampire, besides I think all the really old ones get sort of melancholy from having seen so many people and things fade, I just always saw her as spiritually strong and Marius as driven by curiosity in a way that kept both of them from feeling particularly tragic as characters, at least compared to the other vamps, who struggle more^^
Right, agreed, I just don't like to think of them as mother and daughter, as in those particular terms - I always cringe badly when Marius calls Armand 'son' for the same reason XD,
I don't mind hearing them^^

I thought a scene in which Pandora has caught a young contemporaries human woman to Sybelle so she can eat.
Pandora could hold her head firmly, while Sybelle kneel and drink from the throat. Meanwhile, Pandora caressing her hair and looking down at her with love in his eyes as the daughter she never had.
2. She could Sybelle in his arms and lowering her into a fine new coffin, to help her with her new life as Sybelle still might be a little afraid to sleep in a coffin, and it was still new to her.
It has just always wondered that Pandora never even turned some young people through his long life, like Marius and kept them as her own children. She shows several times much tenderness for younger people and some hidden pain of never having had children. So it seems a little mistic that she never made a son or daughter like Marius in several ways did later.
Also think they could have been good parents together.
What do you think ?

She did make Arjun though - and Flavius for that matter. She took more care of Flavius than she did Arjun (he took care of her instead), but I think that is because of where she was mentally in each case.
I like the first idea, but I don't think she would necessarily sleep in a coffin if she didn't want to, the vamps don't do that much in modern times at least ^^
I wouldn't trust Marius with raising a child, much as I love him, I think his methods are too Roman XD Pandora would be a good mother though.
