Description So I was walking down the street with my nikes on..

and figured I was fair bored.

So I drove down to the local waterfall and walked around abit. Was a bit of fun fumbling around, getting my jeans wet and getting caught in blackberry bushes in the dark.

This waterfall is found in a place aptly named 'waterfall gully' and it the main one of 7 throughout the gully. Only a few are accessible to normal hikers, however I am no normal hiker heh I'm an idiot.

ANYWAY This one isn't off the beaten track, and it has a nice little viewing platform for me to set up my tripod.

Thanks for that. I just wish that the walkway beam at the top left was out of frame and the trees up there too.I think would look better minus them. Thanks.

mamoru-chan In reply to heeeeman [2010-09-06 12:53:23 +0000 UTC]

really?! waterfall gully is more to north-east side right?

So which side of Adelaide I should go to see milky wave??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

heeeeman In reply to mamoru-chan [2010-09-06 12:56:36 +0000 UTC]

It was just too high in the sky, or too far to the east to above the waterfall. Anywhere where there isnt any light pollution, out in the country somewhere.

mamoru-chan In reply to heeeeman [2010-09-07 03:47:08 +0000 UTC]

So I should go somewhere far away for the east??

I thought of going to Mt.Baker/ up Adelaide hills.....
What do you think about that?

WEll, I'm not Adelaide local....so I don't really know much about Adelaide geography.

Sorry to keep bothering you ^^|||
Anyway, I hope your lung is doing well!!

oh~ sorry, I must have misunderstood what you wrote at your deviant ID.

Good to know that you're doing well with your lungs.

Oh, I thought of teaching as well. I'm graduating this year end and might go into Grad Dip in Educ in Uni Adelaide.

Anyhow, where do you learn to teach? Uni Adelaide? UniSA? Flinders? TAFE?

heeeeman In reply to mamoru-chan [2010-09-10 08:41:04 +0000 UTC]

Im doing a master in teaching at Flinders

mamoru-chan In reply to heeeeman [2010-09-12 02:32:02 +0000 UTC]

Is flinders good in education courses if compared to AdeUni?

I heard that UniSa has longer history in providing education courses compared to AdeU.
Well, when I went to ask the course advisor from both Uni....they just trying to tell me that they are better than the other one. Silly me of asking them.

I really want to find a good place to study Education.

From what I've been told, Flinders uni graduates from the school of education are highly regarded when compared with other unis due to the calibre of the lecturers at Flinders and it's good mix of theory and practical work we do. But I personally have not experienced the other uni's education courses so I can only say what I've been told. Flinders is the only uni that offers a masters course in teaching as far as I'm aware.

Thanks for the information, I might as well just apply to all the universities available and then consider my choice later~

Need them to accept me before I can make a choice too XD

Good luck in your studies ^~^

I'm suprised you're from Adelaide and never heard of it.

That can be a good or bad thing. Personally I like them not moving, and only when the movement is substantial.

CainPascoe [2010-07-19 04:42:13 +0000 UTC]

This is brilliant! Did you use some of kind of extra lighting for the base of the falls?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

heeeeman In reply to CainPascoe [2010-07-19 06:30:43 +0000 UTC]

There is a restaurant with parking lot about 40m behind the platform where this was taken, the faint light that came from the lighting there was enough.

This is a lovely image, the sky and waterfall make it look mystical somehow, even though this is only in my backyard. Waterfall Gully is one of my favourite places, but I've never taken such a good shot of the falls. Great stuff!

Nice work, did you use any filters or multiple exposures to get the photograph so perfectly exposed in both the sky and the waterfall?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

heeeeman In reply to Niv24 [2010-07-19 06:32:16 +0000 UTC]

No, it's a single exposure, no filters. Photoshop levels did the trick.
