A long time ago, when the Master reigned for a terrible year and the sun went dark, she died. She died, and became a star. But the Doctor, in the end, could not have it - would not have it, and his two hearts would burn out simultaneously if he for one moment, accepted it.

Something happened. Time reversed, the Master fell away to dust, and the year disappeared, but not enough. Something happened afterwards, the bright new star in the sky, yet to be discovered, soon disappeared before it even had it's shining moment, before any astronomers had the idea. And something happened.

She lived.
Because the Doctor deemed it so.
