There will be no parties or costumes for us this year, and trick-or-treaters don't come down our busy road...but I wanted to celebrate Halloween somehow!Β

I gave out candy to trick-or-treaters with my Mokey puppet. (I used her 'cause she has live hands.) Some of the kids got so excited when they saw her, heh heh.

As I found out!Β Can you imagine how it would have been if any of them recognized her or even knew what a Fraggle is?Β I had a stack of last year's Halloween Fraggle Rock comics to give to Fraggle fans, but not a one showed any sign of recognition.

You're lucky. I live in the part of town that people drive to, so the streets get crowded and there's hours of people!

Yeah, I guess I'd want something in the middle ground...not so many that you go insane or anything. Β One neighborhood I used to live in had their trick-or-treat night the Saturday before Halloween, but on the actual day there was a group of kids that pounded on the door and looked through our mail slot demanding more candy. Noooot okay.

Ooh, people looking through the mail slot is a peeve of mine. I've even seen adults do that. If I hear the slot squeak, that is a guarantee that I will NOT open the door.

Exactly! I use to live in a small neighborhood where it was this great balance. Then when I lived in apartments, NO ONE ever came, just let me eat a giant bowl of candy.
See, that's going too far. When I was a kid, if the lights weren't on, even if you were walking up the driveway and they turned off, that meant "No more candy", but kids are more greedy now and don't understand that basic rule of the night.
