Personality

Rod has a very imposing aura, not least because of his impressive height and beautiful Classic Traaker Body Type.
At the first glance the Stallion appears very level-headed and chronically bored. Though, once saddled up, experienced riders will notice that the Stallion has his own way of doing things and is not too keen on changing that. Learning new Skills is definitely not something the Stallion is looking forward too. This does not mean that he is ignorant to signals or his surroundings even. He is very observant and alert when in the pasture, rarely letting his ears stay put. He enjoys spending time with other horses, especially the young ones and seems to crank up his own energy levels when playing with them. He might not be the best influence though…

only unfolds his true potential if he respects his human partner
Likes to huff at handlers and riders when they pass by his stable stall
befriends yearlings, fillies and colts like no other, motivating them to mischievous behavior
Loves to roll around in wet grass once it’s warm outside

Backstory:

Goldenrod was bought by the Bell Estate Stables through Jessica Bell in Spring of 2014. The Yearling went through a lot of Training, but also a lot of Trainers. He was defined as „hard to train“ due to his temperament. He also never showed signs of being particularly attached to any human partner. He competed in a couple of low level Jumping Shows hosted as Training Events by the Bell Estate themselves. Though he completed the course, he did not respect the signals of his rider, leading to taking the wrong jumps. Jessica Bell took him off of the official Bell Estate Stud List. For the last year, Goldenrod was assigned to the Bell Estate Stable Handler and Rider Newbies as a „Cold Welcome Procedure“ and a way to entertain the more experienced Estate Members. In 2021 he got moved to Oakwood Creek.
