I drew this as a birthday present for a friend. I said I'd draw her something, she said "Applejack x Rainbow Dash", so I did.I find a lot of the fan shipping of the MLP characters to be pretty cute. Me and my friend both like the AJxRD pairing best. Well, it's cute, and I don't mind it, so long as it does not contain adult content.
Anyways, Twilight is doing scientific field research on the extended complexities of the magic of friendship. Using a mistletoe. She is maybe not so subtle.
--EDIT: The mistletoe is now... mistletoe. I had originally Googled "cartoon mistletoe" for a quick reference. Apparently confusing "holly" for "mistletoe" is somewhat common, as holly images appear almost as much as actual mistletoe ones. I wasn't paying much attention either, so I just did whatever. Now it is fixed. Rejoice!

She has magenta eyes, which is so close to purple that lighting can make it look like purple. I did use a dark magenta, if you'll compare it to the purple in her mane.

The way I see it, magic would be a field of science in Equestria, because it provably exists there. So because Friendship is magic, friendship is a part of that science. It just seems to make sense that such a research experiment would be scientific under the context.
