Description Fan Art for a Friend who requested long, long , long time ago in a, very, very near forum...

Dear, Coffee_Ping san...

This is Yuuko, from the CLAMP popular manga, XxXHoLic.
Took me about 4 hours to complete coz it is very hard to get the head size correct due to the CLAMP "small head, long body" style in this one, I keep going back to my own style during sketching part and have to redo again, and again...

(If I am a digital user, I can just use "CTRL - Z", so easy - doesn't it? )

After 10 tries of mimic CLAMP style, I have to said - although it look easy, it isn't when you try to mimic it.... They seem to have put a spell on it. XD

Nice, everything is quite in shape. Except for the face. The nose, mouth and eyes are kinda positioned wrongly IMO.

I've always wanted to draw those flowers behind but I couldn't get any good references. I don't even know whats the name of it. T_T

Hmm, I keep saw it in Jogoku Shojo, and would like to know the name of the flowers too. I use the Vol 10, where there is a pic of the flowers. I follow the look and draw into it.

The face.. hmm, I dunno...have been my way of drawing like that been the past few year.

Rarely, coz I'm not good in mimicking, did try to grab my fav artist style like Ai Morinaga, but it is so hard once you have your style stuck in ur mind too long and hard to resists that sometime you will still add ur style into it.

Nope, Traditional handwork, stroke by stroke.
Took me quite some time to capture their style.

Yes, I wish pen and paper have this "CTRL+Z" features too (yeah, right..)
But too bad, traditional method mean you have to be very careful, One wronf steps/stroke is back to the drawing board again...
