24x33 cm oil on oil painting paper (canvas textured).
This uploaded version is scanned with A4 scanner, some cropping (up, right, left) has occurred.
Also not quite happy with the colours. Bg is more yellow (like the top right), horse not so bright orange/yellow (mane worst offender) nor green (tail, left buttock), blue more like violet (esp left buttock, which is all in all more like blue-violet instead of green)... But quite good. Texture didn't scan well, does it ever?

50 Breeds in 2009: #14 Selle Francais.

Yes omg, I finished something.
This was a test both on a new limited palette as well as the paper. I kind of liked both.

Nothing much to say about this. Painted straight, alla prima pretty much, no sketch and started of as a mare and a foal on a pasture. Somehow turned into this.

Loosely reffed from ~stockhorse 's "Howard From Behind". By loosely I mean, kind of forgot to look the ref after certain point, didn't bother editing it to suit my painting (flipping, cropping, adjusting etc.) or anything. So my apologies for completely killing that lovely ref!

Oh well, you live and fail, but there's usually something to like in failings as well.
