Description Well, this was a quick one.

For ~arab-horses "What you most like about arabs".
What I like about arabs: their immense strength, ability and willingness to bend, not break. Their sublety, lightness and softness. Loyalty thru ups and downs. Their willingness to give even more than you ask. Dreams come alive.
Most of all that means: willingness.

I wanted to paint an arab that's almost a part of the background. An arab that fades away like a dream you think might just be true.

To me arabs in the desert and legends aren't half as appealing than the wondrous personalities I have met and worked with these past years. A true connection with an arab is more than I ever could have dreamed of.

Don't just fave, please leave a comment either way.
Critiques and advice more than welcome.

//EDIT. This piece won (!!) The Technical Prize in the contest.

This is really beautiful, the shape of the eye just bothers me slightly. Anyway, I like a lot the way you've done this. Very pretty.

I know the eye isn't the best of things, but I think it's got a lot of power and somehow it fixes the piece. Hopefully it isn't too disturbing. Thank you so much.

The idea of a dream that just might be real is a beautiful one and I love the way you portrayed it. You definitely get my vote in the contest.

This looks great, awesome shading! I really like how he blends into the background, you did a splendid job on this! You've really captured the spirit of the Arab

May I ask how long this took?

Thank you.
I don't remember exactly how long it took, but I think something around 2 hours or so active painting time.
