I went to see a new play 2 weekends ago. Unfortunately the play was very fast with constant changes of lights and even tho I was standing in the back of it all I still had a lot of heads from the audience in front of the picture's framing, so I had to use of cropping (also added Vignettes).They'll present the play again in the end of May and I might shoot it again - this time from a more privileged position (i.e. attending the rehearsals), from which I hope to do better!
The play is a bit different from what they used to do, which was refreshing to see. They also made all the stage props - I tell ya, they ARE awesome like that!
The play was called: "Yes - No - Maybe", and the flyers of it had questions, like: "If I tell you a secret you don't tell anyone?" (this all in Portuguese, of course).

I really love your photos depicting CITAC's actor as they're always full of emotions. What I like in this one is the way the attention is given to the actor, by darkening everything around them, it's a really great work of lights! The dotted background looks great and the two red paintings breaks well the monotony of the dot pattern. What doesn't convince me too much is the focus on the two actors, I don't know if it's my screen but they look a little blurry to me. I would have preferred if the image of them was neater, but even like this the image is really great.

Yes, I agree with you, it could have been better in that respect. That is what I was referring to in my description, and what I'll try to improve next time. I don't know 100% why it didn't focus properly like I used to in their plays, but if I had to guess I'd say it was because of the quick change of lights, the quick pace of the play itself and (especially this one) me being far away from them, in a place where it's not really very good to work with their lights changes. I also admit not to be a pro, so maybe that's just my fault!

It is funny how the look on her face describes the title, as if he is asking her a question and she is like "Um... yes, wait, no, um maybe..." haha.

In my opinion, the light does well to highlight the intimacy between the couple and the surrounding darkness adds to the secrecy as if they are forbidden lovers

now seriously, it all began when I had a boyfriend that was one of them, 4 years ago. they have a new group every two years and this is the second one I shoot. I started with the 2004/2005 one. Now, this month, a third group appeared. i'm going to shoot them next week!
