Description
Sir. Nixoneoth G. - Tkani Exporation Eastern Cape date; 17/02/176119
A large carving found deep in a cave within the territory of Zumgede on the south-eastern cape. Spanning approx. 40ft in length it is thought to one of the oldest deptictions of the modern Tkani religious pantheon of gods and proto-gods. The figures are arranged as if the household or terrestrial gods¹ are dancing around the creator orlimbo, as the proto-gods praise their father². It is told by the locals that the carving bring blessings to those who glance upon it, some have even told me that gazing upon it long enough would induce a happy, trance-like state of the viewer. The carving and cave for that matter are strictly protected by the royal descendants of the ███ tribe³, the people that currently own and rule over the territory of Zumgede. Only very few select people may enter the cave under the royal guidance of ██████³, I was very lucky and grateful to be given the chance to not only view but also document such an important piece of history and culture of the Tkani people.
The gods shown are depicted as such (left to right): Striesi, Utetzi, Limo, Gebayack, Light, Limbo, Darkness, Gahati, Mbhido, Ukube, Jasimu
