Description Koi study.

A4 size, ink on 'Elephant Hide' paper, which is used for book binding.

Had to do some Koi-sitting this summer for a friend. Those guys are wonderful....

This is amazing! I am working on a koi fish painting and this helps! I only had 2 side fins (where human arms would be) and two bottom fins! non around the middle area! and the very back fin I made look like a heart! 3 so this helps alot! and the back fin to, thank you for posting! I will keep this in mind for later

Acrylic ink. Available in any art store.

Kind of makes me wonder what will happen when you do get control..
If this is you at the mercy of the brush, you in control is kinda scary.
Of course.. this is how I know you are a true artist. I could take lessons for a year and never approach this degree of expertise.. and here you are, complaining that it is not quite up to expectations..

Thank you very much for you kind words!! I appreciate your comment a lot, coming from an expert of those beautiful creatures.

I am koi-sitting at the moment for a friend, and I have to say I really love them. I had never any contact to (alive) fish before, and I am surprised how much character they have, each one of them with a different personality. I could sit and watch then all day... and the joy they express when I offer food is just hilarious!

I am glad it doesn't show, but I had this drawing slightly different in my mind, but lack of confidence and experience lead to the way it looks now. *Not* that I am completely unthankful the way it has turned out, it's just not as it was intended to be.
