I did these two cheetahs for a wildlife exhibition in London earlier this year. They are painted in watered down acrylic, then painted as if it is water colour.Related content

I was clicking through your gallery and saw this as I was going to the next page. My jaw dropped and I had to click back to come see it! Wow! I love cheetahs, and the soft yellows and blues you did for the shading and light are stunning. It is beautiful!

The colours are fantastic! Love the cheetahs.
With the watered-down acrylic do you just add lots of water to some paint on the pallet and then paint with them like normal (like watercolours) or is there another way?

Yes, that's how I do it, I just mix the paint with lot's of water in a dish until it is thin.

Thanks! I've tried it before but not like that so I will ahve to give it a go. Before I used watercolour pencils to get a watercolour effect but I like this more (my pencils are.. probably for primary school kids). Love your work!

The lighting in this is amazing, the colours and shading work so well, as does the fact that the lines are relatively simple.
And I love cheetahs...
