I just love cheetahs. They are one of my favorite wild animals. They are so graceful and somewhat elusive. I think it is interesting how they are normally alone. I think it would be a sad life. I used the reverse side of my watercolor paper because it was much smoother and I wanted to see how it would work out. I can't really decide if I like painting on the smooth side better or not. It's a 6" x 6" watercolor painting.Related content

Cheetahs are my favorite! Great job on this. I am wondering how intentional the white edge on the far side of the cheetah's face was.

Thanks. It was intentional but it didn't exactly turn out as hoped. I really wanted to make sure he stood out from his background while keeping it close to the same value. I am also a sucker for backlighting so I tend to throw that in without thinking about how it will affect everything else.
