Oh, I am SO HERE FOR THIS. I just finished SnK about a week ago and it's still ruining my life.
Glad to see you're still alive!

Aww, thanks ^^
It is a good series for doing that. It's been kicking me in the feels for a few months now.

I watched the first few episodes with one of my friends yesterday and I think I gave away some spoilers simply by bursting into tears at innocent-seeming moments. A lot of stuff gets worse once you catch up on the manga.

I noticed. The manga gets progressively darker as it goes along, and it was pretty dark to begin with. It's a series that just seems to get better and better as it ages.

Agreed, one of the later manga chapters was so scary I had to step away from my computer for a couple of minutes. Who's your favorite character? Mine is Jean, precious brave solider that he is. I've also got a soft spot for Connie, the poor boy needs a hug right now in the worst way.

Hmm... I actually quite like Armin. He's not particuarly strong, but he's smart and in many ways braver than Eren. He always volunteers to stay behind and die so others can live, and he keeps putting himself in danger on purpose. Armin is a character who is developing over time, and people are coming to see his worth bit by bit, which is nice, proving that even in dystopia nerds are necessary. I also want to hug Connie - he definately needs some comfort right about now! I think he and Sasha make a great dysfunctional pair. Not romantic as such, just hilarious friends.
I like Levi too, because he has the angry-short-guy thing going on. This makes him both easy to mock and somehow endearing. Plus, he is seriously flawed for a hero of the people, which is refreshing.

I wasn't real big on Armin until recently. Like he's great and very smart and a good person, but it wasn't until he was like "NYAHAHA WE ARE TORTURING YOUR COMRADE just kidding bye loser" that I decided I was officially in his fanclub. XD
Yeah, I love how Connie and Sasha are such good friends but it weirdly kind of bothers me when people ship them. Which may or may not be due to my shipping him with Jean as though my life depended upon it. I would totally watch/read a series just featuring the three of them having comedic adventures.
I like Levi a lot but I don't think I like him quite as much as everyone else seems to like him. That said though, I'm still really invested in that one manga spinoff about his backstory. I am very interested in how he went from "I am going to murder Erwin Smith in his sleep" to "I trust Erwin Smith wholeheartedly."

Yeah, to start with he was kind-of annoying. He cried a lot, but just lately, he's turned real badass. He's always had his moments of glory though, such as his epic salute in front of the garrison troops.
I've never seen them as a ship. Sasha always strikes me as an almost undateable girl in a way, as she's still very closed about her real self and is pretty eccentric. I think they'd be the kind of friends that argue a lot over trivial things, but it's the arguing that they enjoy.
I don't like Levi in a fangirl sense per-se. I just think he's a very complex character, and like you I want to know more of his backstory. How exactly did a thug become a hero. Why does he follow the rules, what is his motive for fighting? How did he learn all those fancy manouvers with the gear?

Yeah, he just had to learn how to believe in himself. What a champ.
I'd like to take this moment to also say that I can totally imagine Hanji being exactly like Sasha at that age. Unspeakably awesome and kinda marching to a unique drumbeat and all that.
Right, yeah. Levi is super interesting and it'd be great if the story went into that instead of just leaving him as this untouchable standard of perfection.

Yep, can agree with the Sasha/Hanji similarity there. They share so many similar traits, and they even look a little alike.

Lol, I love the dogs of the military work. It's funny but i think that could be some more ideas with the Sin cats, like gluttony could be one of those really pampered white fur-ball cats, and Greed could one of those ugly Bald cats to empathize the armor skin thingy
