The brown paw here is Roy-dog, but here's a cookie for guessing the correct Lion King character references (it was Simba and Scar from Lion King whom I used)

I always imagine Roy being almost a father-replacement for Ed, which is why Ed has a begrudging respect for him despite disliking him, and I also like to think the dislike is based more on his hatred of his own father rather than being directly aimed at Roy... Although, Roy doesn't help matters by teasing Ed all the time
