i have a feeling in the previous pages when we saw a mysteryes hedgehog leaning on a tree that was shadow and amy was in so much heartbreak that she might have cried herself to sleep in the woods shadow was there so he brought her home and left the rose because 1# he has a crush on her or 2#he wanted to make her feel better....hmmmm

I think that Shadow brought her home the night before and left the rose on the pillow for her. Besides, I believe Shadow is better for Amy for so many reasons.
