I definitely did not recreate this scene just because I was lacking more warrior cat designs of my own and happened to have made these two had refsh a h a
You know what really sets the mood with this image?
It's that I used part of a Bob Ross tutorial for the lake because I had no idea how to go about painting it :,) Yes I'm that afraid of painting.
Behind Hawkfrost's huge head there's actually a stone path at the bottom, where I envisioned Hawkfrost staggered to after being shanked by Brambleclaw.

Oh my goodness!! This is absolutely stunning!!! The art style reminds me SOO much of the lion king a tiny bit... For some reason that's the only thing it can remind me of... I love the facial structure on how it looks.. Yet the background is SO delicately made...
ALTHOUGH, I think maybe you could try making the item that's wrapped around Firestar's neck visible.. I have read about this scene in the wiki.. But I kinda can't fully see what is around his neck.. Or the item...

This is simply so stunning and I can believe my eyes, the background is very detailed. Their expressions are also perfect to representing the scene. Especially Hawkfrost's face, it makes him seem as though he is superior to poor Firestar trapped in the fox trap. I remember reading this scene in the New Prophecy and tbh, this is how I imagined it. The artwork overall is very smooth and I like how you added the shading because this gives Hawkfrost an overall very sinister air as he plans to kill Firestar. The way you drew Firestar also makes him look helpless with his positioning in the fox trap.

Okay negatives first. The background is spectacular, however, it looks a bit odd having a background that looks real and then cartoony characters within. No offense, of course. That's really the only negative I found.
Now for the positives...or at least some of them because there are so many. Hawkfrost's existence is one of them, but seriously, you did a great job on his face! I love the expression and the eyes. Firestar's expression is also brilliant, with the...thing around his neck. Forgot what it's called. And tHE PAW UPSIDE DOWN IS FUCKING

Thank you for the feedback! ^^ The reason as to why the background looks so heavily detailed is because I intended on having it look as much like a fake screenshot as possible! That meant minimal shading to keep the focus on the characters, since normally in an animation you can tell what will move depending on it's linework and shading. ^^'
