Description 'Tis said, the Devil is in the details. That is often true and I believe it's nowhere as true as it is with costumes.

When creating a costume, you're not neccesarily aiming for the most authentic costume or the most "blinged out" costume, but a costume that looks like it belongs in our favorite Fantasy art, movies and/or games. A balance between those two extremes is something I've heard call 'coolthentic'.

This little detail is to make my Inquisitor costume* just a little bit more 'coolthentic'. It's a Kriegrimmian purity seal - a seal given to a person of the Inquisition or Church of Kriegrimm for outstanding virtue or a great deed of somesort. And yes, it's heavily based on the same idea from both of Games Workshop's Warhammer universes

I'm quite happy with the seal itself, but I'll probably redo the strip of 'parchment' at some point, perhaps replacing it with actual paper or fabric - I'll see

The right balance.  Much better than a shopping list purity seal.

Besides, have you ever heard of Warhammer Fantasy's spiritual successor? i.imgur.com/dlmQkB6.jpg

It's made out of three parts, basically. The 'cross' section is actually a spare metal one I normally used as an amulet or clothing ornament. That is attached to a round-ish piece of plastic. The edge is sculpted with two-part epoxy putty. The trick is that I painted it as a whole

Even if it's described in great detail, one still needs to do it - it's easy for me, but might not be for other people

Thanks! 'T was fun to make I like that more and more, I'm able to do stuff like this myself.

It's a cool word A Britisch LARPer I know coined it, with the definition given. I like it
