Just to compare - LD is colored with warkers, RD with colored pencils.

I definitely prefer the look of the marker over Pencil of any kind. It just has such a Vibrant and complete color, not too mention you can get better control over the shading as from what I can see the markers give you a more blending flow. With pencils and regular markers you can still see where you " Brush " over a previous mark giving an uneven texture.

I'd like to add that the PAPER makes a HUGE difference when it comes to the final outcome. This piece was done on sketching paper, on maker paper the same markers look and blend a LOT better. Marker paper also helps you save ink since it doesn't "drink" so much of it, regular paper is like drawing on a sponge...

I agree, the Canvas your using makes all the difference. ( An Additional note : While I dont have any experience with pencil or Marker, I imagine its so much easier to draw over Pencil than it is with Marker ) Both certainly provide a texture thats unique to them. ^^
