In America, one of the slang term for buttocks is moon. So, when Princess Luna stretch her fore legs and raise her hips, the guards saw her buttocks, and the author use word play to describe Luna has a beautiful buttocks.

Glad that any of that didn't offend you, or you didn't felt offended to any of those. You won't believe what I stirred back then when explaining something to the foreign clients. British and American English are very different, despite lots of similarities.
I use the word 'donkey', and if translated to American, it was 'ass', and they thought I mean buttocks. Hilarity ensues, and lots of rage followed by.
