Testing Pirate Jill after having a tough time removing the BackFace meshes, so far so good.

Just wanted to test her before release.

How do you remove those BF meshes? I don't think you select vertex per vertex, right? xD

With Revelations 1 models its more complicated since both BF meshes and normal meshes are one mesh together.

Yep i do use Blender


The way i do its easier and doesnt get me frustrated at all, but it would be nice to have a new method for it :3

Well, i don't know if you know it (i am on all this 3d stuff since... a lot of time, and i just figured it out a days ago), but you can use "P" and choose "Separate by Loose Parts", then everything will get separated :3 Backfaces included ^^ Try it out! I'm sure life will get easier after that lol

Lol, thats what i do too, that actually helped me alot when i tried to port Piers to XPS but without BackFace meshes on his hair, sure, it was a hell of a time to get it all set, but it was worth it


But i sometimes remove vertices on edit mode through "Face select" , which is another helpful way to remove these annoying BF meshes.

mh... then why does it bother you so much? xD
Well, of course, there some hairs that can be a nightmare lol (ahem... FFXV... ahem) but with that, life gets way easier
(And to think most of my models were a torture if BF was together in the mesh lol )

Yes i found some ports of her as i searched for them.

I can totally understand that
I do feel the same about some models too.

Congratulations on the finished result
Will use her clothes for a pirate Pharah mod.

Thanks , I also wanted to release my own Jill too because most Resident Evil models have BackFace meshes, which makes us use BackFace culling, like it or not..


I really dont like that function, so whenever i port a RE Model (or any model) , I remove all those BackFace meshes so we wont need to use that anymore

That can really be a pain in the ass^^
Recently i started to flip normals or make them consistent to prevent the need.
Unless the body needs bfc i always leave it off too.

Yeah she's been released by a couple of users before, But i wanted to release my own too


And no, its not a meshmod, i ported her using the blender script.
