Hey, does Hera ever relax by the ocean in a tiny bikini and high heels? Β Just a thought.

No - because high heals are not relaxing. When @ the beach -> barefoot!

I get it. Β Barefoot and a tiny bikini. Β I like that better. Β You know how to dress, lady.

Yes, at least when it comes to the beach! When its warm and nice! Sweden in november is worse, when the weather is like a wet blanket ...

Sweden is far north. Β But a quick plane ride to warmer places, for a change of weather.

Yes, when you have the time off to go! Then I'd love to take off, usually I travel once or twice a year, to the Mediterranean or something.

Yes, it's wondeful - a week or two by the ocean. Truly wonderful!

Imagine how much work β much of it frustrating, annoying, and exasperating β it would have been to watch over Odysseus for two decades. I'm glad she can take a breather every now and again.
I really like the mountains in the background, and the sun (Helios, I guess) trying to burn his way through the cloud is a nice touch, and seems to suggest that just as the sun will come out from behind the curtain of clouds, Athena, too, will have her fill of rest and carry on with the dispensation of justice.
I nearly always see her depicted as a warrior. It's a wonderful change to see her relaxed and looking so . . . nice.

I envy those gods and their "resting" while I, down here, work and toil all day long, seven days a week.
Sustained sloth is much more difficult than most people imagine.

Indeed we toil so hard just to stay alive and prosper a bit. To climb the staircase of need...
