Description Hey guys! Here's a two-page spread from issue 02 of New Crusaders: Rise of the Heroes published by Archie Comics. In this sequence, the kids learn about their heritage in the classic "Heroes Museum."

Speaking of classic heroes, I got to work on a really cool Mighty Crusaders project coming out very soon! Out July 10 at a comic shop near you is New Crusaders: Legacy, a brand new graphic novel that reprints classic material framed by an all new New Crusaders story!

The reprints are stories by some real comic book legends: Steve Ditko, Alex Toth, Carmine Infantino, Rich Buckler and more! And I got to color 'em! Each story is digitally remastered. It was awesome getting to color and help restore this artwork. Be sure to pick it up soon!

I just bought the Rise of The Heroes pack/volume and I'm loving it, I was always interested in the comic but never actually did anything about it, but When I saw the deal that Archie was giving with the bib bundle I decided it was time.

I heard the Ken Penders lawsuit ended with no winner. Is that good news for the KnucklesxJulie-Su and CharmyxSaffron fans?

This series was dead-on-the-spot awesome!

Hopefully the advertisements on the back of Sonic/MegaMan issues can lure in new readers looking for some action, such as myself!

As for you, Mr. Herms, if you can read this message, what's the most challenging part when it comes to coloring your pages?
Coloring errors? Deadlines? Miscoloration?

Definitely deadlines! As a colorist, you're one of the last stops in the assembly line. So if there were issues earlier on that caused delays it may fall to you to make up the lost time. Being able to manage your time and being able to hand in good work - even if you have to cut corners to meet a crazy short deadline - is key.

Are you saying, even as we speak, you are coloring pages right now?

It's amazing the silly outfits that super heroes wear. The only one that ever had a cool costume was Batman.

Unless you count his campy blue-colored scheme of the early days. Than again, the very idea of a crime-fighter running across rooftops dressed as a bat is a pretty goofy idea to begin with.

yes I know.  I said out of all those super hero characters.  That don't necessarily mean Battman's costume is always kick ass or anything, it just means the others are way more goofy.

I guess that's what makes them so fun to read. If it weren't for our suspension of disbelief, we wouldn't have characters like the Flash, the Amazons, Gorilla Grodd, Clayface, and Mr. Myxlplyx.

That's probably the reason why video games are so popular.

Especially the girls. Half of them go around in bathing suits. I understand why, but seriously. The guys are dressed from head to toe and they are leaping around in high heels.
