I thought this one might be kinda' cool to share, as it shows off a couple steps in the whole coloring process. I love these characters - their costumes, their powers - so a cover like this one showing off everything was such a blast to work on.

My first pass (center) kept a color scheme meant to really pop our heroes out from all of the chaos. I actually liked this color scheme enough to use it in the interiors of the book, but my editor and I both felt that this one played it too safe. The action here is the jailbreak, the panic - the worry that these brand new superheroes have gotten in over their heads.

We changed up the color scheme entirely and I drew in some battle damage to our heroes, and this was the final cover. One of my faves to color this last year. Very pleased with how it all came together.
