Preview pages for Sonic the Hedgehog #201 came out today! The book will be hitting the comic book store racks next week, and everywhere else a couple weeks after that. Be sure to be on the look-out for it – it’s a great jumping-on point for new readers, and I’m particularly proud of how the artwork came out this ish.

"Change in Management": Sonic and his friends are ready to relax after the series-shaking events of #200, but their plans soon change with the explosive arrival of an old villain! A villain who brings grim tidings of a new threat that's claimed the world! Who are the new faces of evil? Will Sonic rise to the occasion, or will he be busy fighting a mystery guest star?
"Devotion": Espio the Chameleon gets a visitor of his own, and news that will change his standing in the Chaotix forever!

Nice work! I'm impressed by the attention to detail that you artists show in this series. There're little things in the background, like characters' reactions, that really help with the characterization and humor. That encourages us to pay close attention, too!
(And somebody, reach in there and slap the heroes for not arresting Snively & Co. while they had the chance. Yeah, yeah, it's not meant to be high literature, but still...)

I stopped reading this forever ago when Ron Limb started being the main artist. Fry was always my favorite but this seems to be going in the right direction.

I always was curious as to how Espio became a Ninja in the comics. I was away until just before #100 so a lot of these characters are new to me. That bottom panel on page 2 is kind of cool. The simplified silhouettes with the neon edges kind of gives you a feel for each character and the colors work well representing their personalities.

This is the first appearance of Monkey Khan for me. I started with 102 but I've definitely heard all about him. Too bad I'll be without the comic for the next two months while I'll be away working at a camp.

I can't believe you guys got rid of Eggman after so friking long. I swear, if I don't like what you do with this 'Iron Queen' person, I'm dropping the comic and only reading Sonic Universe. It won't be the same without ol' Eggy, I guarrantee it.

He seems to be based on Son Goku, the trash-talking magic monkey from the old Chinese epic fantasy "Journey To the West". He's got the cloud, the headband, the staff, and the arrogance down.
