Hey, so, what about a racoon descendant? Raccoons are able to not only survive, but thrive in an urban future. Heck, they're even adapting to life in the cities even as we speak. For a raccoon descendant, I think they'd become more placid, seeing as humans would not tolerate an aggressive rabid creature, and raccoons would likely evolve to look cuter in order to beg for food rather than scavenge for it.
Although, I wonder what would happen with the descendants of monkeys.

How about a concept of the decentens of coyotes since they already adapting for life in the cities? Or concepts for the some of the last surviving Amphibians in an urbanized planet (frogs, toads, newts, salamanders)

Very nice. I really like the intricate design on this one, black and white when done right can look so appealing and really makes red/orange stand out.

Here's an idea: how about an animal that drinks from water sprinklers since many parks have their irrigation systems on a regular timer. Think: urban watering hole type of ecosystem where the apex predators get first dibs on the sprinklers that output the most water. Also have it evolve to deal with the minor additives they add to tap water like chlorine, fluoride, and stuff.
Another fun idea is to have an animal follow around people mowing their yards since the fresh smell of cut grass basically means insects are more exposed thanks to the sweeping of foliage cover. Have it be cute too so people are less likely to harm or run over it.
