Description

So today is apparently Nagito's birthday. In relations to that, I felt it was time to reveal something I had been thinking about for the last couple of months.

But first some context:

In the past, I've talked about how I felt about Nagito Komaeda. Ultimately, I have mixed feelings about the boy. However, despite that, I actually always found him to be an interesting character. Arguably one of the most interesting morally-gray characters I've seen. I feel like he's one of those characters that if done correctly, he could have a good redemption/growth story about him. I actually wouldn't mind that if they ever wanted to explore him out more.

I also finished watching the Danganronpa 3 anime last year. I found the anime okay except for the ending. Not gonna spoil it, but all I'm gonna say is that it felt super anti-climatic and how they chose to wrap up the first two games' arc felt hollow. Not a big fan of it honestly.

Which is why I came up with an AU sequel idea for it.

Basically, the AU sequel concept is that after the events of DR3, Nagito struggles with healing from the past and see's himself as a worthless lost cause. Through a series of event, Hajime essentially becomes his therapist and they end up back in Jabberwock island and stay there for a few years. During this time, Hajime helps Nagito heal and cope and confront his bad habits. He also teaches him to love himself and give himself worth. Hajime also gets some healing too thanks to Nagito. They spends a few years in the island together and do some growing up. Also, they fall in love with each other and become boyfriends.

Yes confession time I'm a komahina shipper. Its my absolutely guilty pleasure ship and while Nagito is still weird for me, him and Hajime as a couple hits me in ALL the right spots.

This is suppose to show my take on how they would look a little older. They're in their early 20's (possibly 22-23).

I honesty really wouldn't mind showing off more of this AU concept. I've been sketching and writing down ideas for this AU including how the other character fit it and OCs from this AU. So yeah if you wanna see more ideas and concepts for this AU, please let me know in the comments.
