as to the photo, i've never before seen a snow-on-the-mountain flower seem so meaningful...
but as to the poem, it struck frighteningly close to heart... having been in a situation like that, it drew out a lot of powerful memories... memories that everyday remind me what i want my child's life NOT to be like (not that i have a child, but if/when i do...) very simple, yet very deep, powerful, and moving... and i think it might be because of the fact that it's so simply phrased that it comes across so potently... without the need for big, overextravagant words...

This is so sweet. It reminds me of that thing you wrote once, "You lost me like a lullaby..." Seriously, this is so pretty. The colors are soft, sad and hurt. The description leads me to imagine a little child looking at this flower, talking to it and hoping it will understand.
