Yeah, that's right. Crayons!
ORION of the New Gods! There is little I love in this world more than wacked out comics from the 70s, especially those from the King himself, Jack Kirby. Here's the "Dog of War", Orion of New Genesis, presented in bright, bold crayons.
Why crayons? I did this for a fun art challenge on the DC2 fan fic site that required crayons be used in some way, so
I figured it was a good excuse to try to pay tribure to the King's eye-grabbing pop art!
Pen and Crayons. Touch-ups with color pencils.

Ha. Thanks. I like teh Kirby. I hadn't thought of Metron honestly but I'm not one to really pass up a chance at doing megafun New Gods stuff. I'll have to put it on my list of stuff to do.

Thanks! This actually took longer to do than I would have guessed but it was fun working with crayons. I had to switch to a color pencil to finish the background because I couldn't find where my daughter had put her crayolas.

Crayons are just an easy-to-use version of pastels, there's really nothing weird with working with them. It's not easy, though, and what you've achieved here is very impressive.

Thanks again, Mirror. You always get the clumpy parts when you color with crayons and I thought I had gone over the pic and brushed them all off, but after I scanned it sure enough there's still some on there! Ha, just part of crayons I guess.
