Description I just did this to see if I could do it.
I really can't tell if it looks good, or just dumb.
No more nonsense after this. I promise.

Charcoal on paper.

huh....charcoal art...havn't seen that type of art pulled off so well. The glares and shadowing is very well done. Only complaint really is that the nose is alittle bit crooked.

besides that, very well done...congrats

you pulled this off with just charcoal? i've always found charcoal to be a flimsy uncontrollable medium to work with, but i'm well aware of the people out there who take the time to master it. I'm afraid i dont know who this is, so i cant say wether or not it's an accurate portrait or not. Mind you, it's probably a nice change from people recognizing the model and saying something like 'omg, it looks just like so-and-so'

its very good, i especially like the fade off effect, i must admire a man who can use charcoal, its a very messy substance, i tried it a few times always so difficult. the eyes are particularlly well done the charcoal really helps reach that level of darkness that is the pupil. i am most certianly not skilled enough to think i can critique this.

Excellent work, and it's nice to see something drawn from life, or at least a photo instead of purely imaginative work.

very nice. It is a very nice drawing in charcoal. I think it is a bit dark in some areas of the face, still it is very good a nd wonderful.
