Doc Razed wanted to show to us his friend.His "little" friend.
The idea of having a combat doctor is pretty much inspired by the other "mad combat doctors" out there, especially "Doctor Stein" from "Souleater". Razed here spent most of his private time tinkering and welding used syringes, casts, wooden boards and all other hospital and surgical equipments into one BIG scythe, which he had no other use before, until today. XD
(but I believe he once used it to open bottle caps...)

Huh... reminds me of the doctor from Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life.
If you befriend some of the people in town, they'll give you special unique farming equipment with special abilities. You need a scythe to chop the grass in the field for food for the farm animals.
In the second chapter, the doctor who normally commuted to the town is now living there. If you befriend him, he'll give you a special scythe that looks oddly rusted. He claims he used it for surgeries. O.O
