Description
Here is the new and improved design for my interpretation of the Wicked Witch of the West from L. Frank Baum's 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'. Looking back at the design from 2012, though true to the original book illustration by W. W. Denslow, still seemed too comical than threatening. So, I decided that she needed a complete overhaul and made her look more scary and threatening, though with subtle hints to the original book illustration such as the pigtails and the umbrella (now more like a combination of umbrella and magical staff). And instead of an eyepatch, I made it so it looked like her eye melted off her face. So, what do you guys think, is this design superior to my previous one?Related content

I'm a lifelong Oz fan and I was never happy that the MGM movie didn't live up to the books. I love your artwork! This is my favorite, I think it really captures how I envisioned the witch and it's so much more menacing than the pretty green skinned witches I'm sick of seeing! Keep up the amazing work, you're super talented and creative, I'm envious

Here's a little tip, watch as many horror movies or games, read some history or fantasy books and look up on fashion, that's how I get idea's on character and back gruond desings.

Glinda wears a great deal of red, as it's the Quadlings' national color. She has the appearence of a young woman in her mid-20s, despite the fact she's lived hundreds of years. She has long, red hair that cascades down her back.
