Description I feel that this piece of fractal art is a significant improvement over my previous works, in a bunch of ways. It's the first animation to actually incorporate a gradually changing variation, to be precise the Linear value of one of the many transforms in this one is changed by a sinus pulse, I think what it does should be evident.
Creating this thingy was a lot more fun than the previous things as well.
Also you might try to figure out in which directions the elements rotate, there is a strong element of optical illusion to this one. You can read what's happening at the bottom of this description.

The parameters of this one are based on which is itself based on
There are barely 10% left of the original parameters of Sacred Hill though.

Tools: Apophysis 7X 15d + fav.me/d84l73l [Animation script] + Photoshop CC [For gif creation only]
Time spent on this flame: 8 hours
Rendering time: 21 hours
Rendered Frames: 150

Spoiler:
The lower pyramid rotates counter-clockwise, the upper one rotates clockwise though. It might appear though as if both parts rotate counter-clockwise. Try covering the lower half with your hands if your brain keeps telling you one thing while you want to see the other.

Hm, it's long ago that I saw that one, but now that you say it I see what you mean. Thanks

this reminds me of something i saw out of an anime a while ago... possibly a computer game as well.

I wonder what it was, but I guess something like that is to be expected. I always think it looks like it could explode at any moment.

I am more than a little impressed! Despite the simplicity of the result, the complexity in the matter of its creation is apparent for any who have ever animated fractal art. Spectacular work!

Thanks! This fractal really made me wanna go more complex, it was a quantum-jump in giving me new ideas to come up with for new animations. The only problem would be that I'm hitting a dead-end with the capacities of Pascal in Apophysis7X. Maybe it's time I take a look at the scripting abilities of other programs.
