I have a question though. How do you know where
to place the head? I tried drawing a similiar pose
a few days ago and I had difficulties with where I
should put the head.

XD So did I!!! I redrew it about five times. Finally I got something that worked! My suggestion, though, would be to grab a friend and make them pose for you for five minutes, or to go plop a table or something in front of the mirror and look at yourself doing the same pose.
