He could always be like my Ralkan - sterile hybrid of a smilodon and an american lion. XD Not that that was probably even possible, but still... LOL
I swear, though, you can't take lions seriously with those teeth. For some reason they make lions look adorable instead of fearsome. XD

That does present an interesting idea. What if lions retained sabertooth traits? Very unique.
