Description Heh. I am afraid that everyone who watches my scraps is going to begin to understand how really strange I am. O_O;;;

Er... I don't know why I feel the need, at the end of my college career, to revisit it through these characters that I've remade, sort of, as older versions of themselves. Perhaps because I don't want to go cold turkey. Anyway, I don't really expect anyone to understand what I'm doing. I figure I'll baffle most who are acquainted with YGO more than anything else XD

Anyway, so Rex and Weevil are graduate students, pursuing their school careers, while Mokuba's just started as an undergrad, and has decide to take up the very rich japanese tradition of ceramics, but with an unusual spin. After his teenage years, in which his growing independence drove a wedge between himself and his brother, he decide to start hunting for traces of his original immediate family, IE, his biological mother and father and so on. So he goes back to the relatives who dumped him and begins to collect anything he can: pictures, text documents, textiles; and photo prints them into house or pagoda-like ceramic structures, displaying their preciousnous and tying the image to the past through the older architecture.

He really doesn't care for the high life, or for Kaibacorp, anymore. He's changed his name back to his old one. All art students carry around homebrewed ceramics for their coffee. Which is the artist's staff of life.

He's a very friendly chap, and enjoys talking with Rex about his artwork. A dialogue follows:

Mokuba: I can feel it. I can really feel the field. The ah… search for fossils. For records. I can sense the bleed over. It really shows. You were in paleontology for how many years?

Rex: Three. Three years wasted!

Mokuba: You love prehistory. And I know how knowledgeable you are. But you couldn’t stick with it. It bored you, right?

Rex: It was dry. I couldn’t stand the idea of picking in the dust for a few little bits of bone. All the names. Ugh! Dusty. I didn’t want to spend my life scrabbling in the dirt.

Mokuba: But look! Look what you’ve covered your canvas with! I think you love the dirt!

Rex: *laughs* You’re projecting! You’ve always got your hands in some mud.

Mokuba: I’m serious. You love the dirt.

Rex: Well… Yeah, maybe. Alright, yeah. But it’s completely different. I let the dirt be dirt. And I like it that way. I’m not pressuring it for secrets, you know? I ah… I appreciate the mystery.

Mokuba: Your worship of the dirt is primal, not scientific. Science ruins the mystery.

Rex: Yeah. Yeah. That’s a good way of putting it. It’s not as though I…. Dislike the science. If there weren’t people out there probing dirt for its secrets, we wouldn’t even know about this stuff. I mean, I love to read about all the new finds. New theories.

Mokuba: But you can’t do it?

Rex: That’s not what it means to me. I want it all. I want the whole thing. I couldn’t spend years on one toenail. That’s not what it’s about for me. I wanted the majesty. The energy. I have always responded to the response, not the field.

Mokuba: And that’s what this is?

Rex: That’s what this is.

Heehee, I don't think you're weird It's a cool drawing and the idea behind it is too Ah so Mokie has broken away, good for him ^^ He didn't seem like the kind that would go all power-hungry and stuff like his brother ^^ Seto's still cool though, heehee. Nice work!

I'm really pleased that someone bothered to read through the whole thing XD It's even better that you like it. I have another one between him and Weevil about his switch from paleontology to art, but I have no picture to attach it to. ^_^;;;
