Why do people draw charecters as animals? I never really understod that, could someone explain me. ( this is not an offending comment, i'm just curious)

Well, the reason I am in the habit of it, is that I started uploading as a Lion King fanart website. If we wanted to draw a certain character that we liked from another series or movie, we had to lionize them, or draw them as an animal that would be cannon to Lion King. After I found DA, I didn't have to draw lions anymore, but I still did from time to time because it was entertaining, and I could upload them to my TLK archive. I just like to imagine what they'd look like as another species, I suppose.
I imagine other artists do so just because they can't draw people, or they would just rather be drawing some non-human animal, whatever it is they're more used to. Some artists get lazy, and just don't want to bother learning how to draw people. Or they don't care to.

Its cool how you can make a lion look so much like Seto by the eyes and the hair. You really captured the look of seto in this X3 .. i donno if that made any sense

Dude, have you seen Kaiba from the first season of YGO? His hair is green and his eyes are gold. Quite an interesting look. That's when he was possessed by that weird spirit thing or whatever. :V
