I think you for your comment and interest but sadly I will be closed for commissions till likely late fall! I enjoy the great weather of spring and summer and am not very productive! xD but if you keep and eye open on my journals they normally say when I open and or close.

Adorable ^.^ ...I always use sculpey, but I usually get white and then paint it after baking instead of buying different colors, but yours looks quite amazing with the already colored clay. Was it difficult to get the rings to stick to the black clay? I'm trying to find an easier way to make different colors stay together without looking misshapen.

btw. I just looked at your gallery. your flowers were beautiful! and your painting skills are really good, I'm not surprised you would rather paint your figures with the skill you have. I just get nervous about doing that because I'm and incompetent painter! xD

rings are kind of hard to do first try. I must be sure that you have the piece that you are putting the ring (or any extra colors/ markings) the shape you want. sticking isn't to difficult I just roll my shape on the clay the has already been rolled and flatten for the stripe then keep lightly (only enough to flatten the stripe in) rolling till flat. if you play with it to much then the strip would get misshaped but if done right it looks very nice. I personally like using the pre colored clay rather than painting, I like the end result more.

Ohhhh! So you make the limbs and stuff first and then attach them all together afterwards? That would work a lot better than attaching the rings as the final detail... I'll have to try that ^.^

I use sculpty. its pretty inexpensive and comes in many colors. there is also fimo, but I personally don't like it as much... tends to go bad. you can also buy special types like glowing witch I used on this, glittery/ metallic, and translucent. good luck, note me if you have any other questions.

How do you make it glow? o3o

glowing sculpty clay. it can be mixed with other colors to make it blue, but it will make it glow a bit less and the color it glows will always be a yellow green no matter what you mix it with.

the rings glow because is glowing sculpty clay mixed with a lil bit of blue. however in the dark the rings do not glow blue, they glow a light neon green like color. then I use a small screw eye in the top of the charm, some people will use other things for a top loop, they will look better because they are smaller but I like that the screw eye is less likely to slip... umm what else... I make the strap part out of embroidery thread/yarn and weave it to make it look nice. when its finished I put the end into a spiral crimp bead, squeeze the first spiral VERY tightly to make sure it stays secure, then put a drop of super glue in the end with the ring. (again to make it more secure) Let it dry or else it will stick to your fingers and feel really gross.... trust me... I have some ugly skin peeling from trying to get glue off.. open the ring and put the charm on, close the ring. done!
I get most everything from a craft store, I only get the screw eyes from a hardware store.
and my avatar is a raichu actually.
