Description
Here is the second part to my Guide to a Basic Photo Manipulation. There are two more parts that are in working progress.

Now, I used Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 for this, but the tools are basically the same as they are in Photoshop and many other programmes like it.

If there is something you don't understand, don't be afraid to comment or send me a note to ask. Also, if you notice any spelling mistakes [which there are more than likely to be as it's quarter past one in the morning here], please comment or note me and I'll try my hardest to sort it out.

In this part of the tutorial, you will learn how to select around your subject.

I would appreciate it, if you do use this tutorial for one of your works, that you please credit me in your artist's comments. Obviously, I don't expect you to credit me in every single piece that you do, but it would be nice if I was mentioned in one of them. :3

Also, it would be nice if you sent me the link to your finished manipulation if you have done your own using this tutorial. Just so that I know that my tutorial is being some kind of use to someone.

The other parts to this tutorial are in progress.

The other parts will include how to add a little water wave-type thing to the bottom of your image, how to lower the transparency of a layer, how to make your model blend in and how to add little finishing touches.

Do not take this tutorial and claim it as your own.

Use your imagination. You don't have to use the same images that I have in this tutorial in your own piece.

Very nice, but I can't find the "selection" part in photoshop to invert the image like you did there

In Photoshop, the selection invert is located under 'select', and then 'inverse'. That should do the same thing as it would in Paint Shop Pro. :]

Oh, sorry. xD I'll try and change that, at some point.
I was doing it quite late at night, so I probably have tons of typos in there.
And thanks. ^^
