Sure
Hanabi's involvement in the story is more than minor; at least, there's enough that when she gets a good deal of focus, those readers who don't care for Hanabi tend to ask that I get back to the rest of them Among the five main characters, however, I'd say that Naruto, Hinata, and Lee get the most focus.
I should point out that the story splits up the characters into two groups early on, so to speak; Naruto, Hinata, and Lee flee the village, and we see their efforts to become stronger and aid in the overthrowing of Orochimaru, who's taken over the Leaf village. We see the struggle/civil war within the village through Hanabi's and Neji's eyes -- with Hanabi, the resistance comprised of shinobi loyal to the Leaf, and with Neji, the upholding of Orochimaru's regime, to which he is allied.
The three outcasts don't return to the village until late in the story; as a result, there's no direct interaction between them for the large majority of the story. Since it is an action/adventure focused story, shipping is of secondary importance; the only really substantiated pairing is actually NaruHina, which itself doesn't see much prominence until after a timeskip following chapter 14. Naruto and Hanabi don't even meet until the latest chapter, chapter 26, and at this point the story is pretty close to wrapping up.
Hanabi debuts in chapter one as a loving sister, and a Main House Hyuuga with a curious lack of interest in someday leading the clan. Following the outbreak of the Leaf's conflict, she is forced to flee a Hyuuga Clan now ruled by Neji; subsequently, her role in this story is to give an inside perspective on the endeavors of the resistance, and to be a beacon of hope to the minority of Hyuuga who oppose Neji's takeover of the clan. Her emphasis is stepped up after the above-mentioned timeskip, when she starts training harder to become a young but powerful fighter in her own right, and transitions from a bystander to a ninja of the resistance. Naturally, she is at odds with Neji on the occasions in which they come into contact, and in her determination to restore order to the Hyuuga Clan, her goal is to kill him (as opposed to Hinata's goal of bringing peace to the clan without killing him).
Her primary interactions are with Sasuke, Kiba, Sakura, Chouji, Konohamaru, and the small band of Hyuuga (poorly drawn here... [link] ) that has sworn to defend her. The Hyuuga's faith in and dedication drive her to be a reluctant type of leader, but cause her to become strong.
Sorry for such a long explanation. I'm quite bad at explaining things quickly But I wanted to give you an honest picture of Hanabi's role in the story. The story is a long one, so I'd hate for you to read it and be disappointed. Basically, if you're interested in seeing Hanabi developed as a character and doing something other than being the pretentious, privileged kid many write her as, I don't think you'll be disappointed, but the amount of focus on the other characters might frustrate you; I can't be sure. On the other hand, if your only interest is in the pairing of Naruto and Hanabi, it's honestly not going to happen, unfortunately.
I hope I answered your question, and if you have any more, feel free to let me know. I'll try not to talk for weeks ^^

No need to apologize for giving me a thorough answer. As a huge Hanabi fan, I'm happy to see her featured in any number of roles, and while I do prefer to see her paired with Naruto, given how rarely that actually happens I can't hold it not happening in your story against you (or the story). I didn't mean to suggest that I'd only be interested if there was NarutoxHanabi action, just that I wanted to know ahead of time about the nature of their relationship before I got started into what looks like a well-written tale. I find that, as a reader, I enjoy a story more if I have even a rough idea what to expect. And as an author, I feel that it is my duty to help my readers set their own expectations appropriately, even if I only do so in generalized terms so as not to spoil the later bits.
And as a beta, I'm over all quite impressed by the quality of your writing just in this reply message (and in the explanation text for this and the linked Hyuuga resistance picture). Your sentence structure is impeccable, and only the rarest of typos tried (rather unsuccessfully) to mar the text. Kudos.
So yeah, thanks to your response, I do believe I'll go ahead and put the story on my Nook and read it at work. If that sounds weird, I understand, I just don't have as much time when I'm not at work to get any good reading done.
