***I drew this months ago when my tablet was still working; so no, sadly I still won't be doing digital art for a while.***

Throughout writing my Kingdom Hearts Fan-Fiction, Third Beginning, I added a new character, James. Hinata met James and his sister, Sam, during her time on Montressor. The entire time Hinata was there James relentlessly hit on her and eventually fell for her even though Hinata never felt the same way. Now that Hinata has left Montressor and is reunited with Riku, I've had quite a few readers send me private messages asking me what would have happened if Hinata was never able to leave Montressor. And many of those readers also told me that they really shipped Hinata and James together; almost hoping that Riku never would come back.

So thinking about what they were saying I came up with an entire story of what would have happened. I drew this up and wanted to post it along with a long one-shot about it; but it's turning into a whole separate story entirely. I'll eventually post it; but with Valentines Day around the corner and how much I love this picture, I couldn't wait any longer lol!

Basically, the jist of the story is that Hinata is stuck on Montressor for a year and at that point she still works at the Benbo Inn but lives on her own on the ship Sam built her. Sam joined the Interstellar Academy and is dating Jim Hawkins (finally lol). On the one year anniversary of Hinata living on Montressor, James convinces her to let him take her out. During the 'hang-out/date' James takes Hinata to all the places that he knows would remind her of the island and finally takes interest in learning about where she came from. Hinata reluctantly opens up to him and after that day they began talking and going out regularly. After several months of this, James convinces Hinata to quit her job at the Benbo Inn and come work with him at the mechanic shop as the receptionist. After work every night he walks her home and one night he brought up how he felt about her for the first time since the party at the reopening of the inn. Hinata reluctantly tells him that she is beginning to feel something for him too and James kisses her.

Hinata at first kisses him back but then pushes him away and runs into her home. The next several days go awkwardly as she avoided talking to him; but eventually James gets them alone and asks her about the other night. She confesses that she freaked out because he was the first person she had kissed since Riku and that it felt like when she admitted her feelings for him it was as if she was accepting that she was never going to see Riku again. James tells her that maybe that isn't a bad thing and that Riku would want her to be happy rather than miserable that she could never be with him again. Hinata agrees but tells him that she still needs time to think it over. James understands and tells her that he'll wait as long as she needs.

Months go by and things between them go back to normal. They hang out regularly and James walks her home every night; but neither of them mention that night they kissed. Then the two-year anniversary of Hinata being on Montressor rolls around and James offers to take Hinata out again for the occasion. Hinata agrees and James takes her on the most amazing date. Once he walked her home after the date, he was about to head home but Hinata stops him. She tells him that she thinks she's ready to let Riku go and wants to be with him. James asks her if she's sure and she tells him she loves him. James immediately kisses her and tells her he can't tell her how long he's waited to hear those words.

They start dating after that night and a couple years later; Hinata unexpectedly finds out that she is pregnant. (dun dun DUN!)
She is nervous to tell James but eventually does and he is ecstatic. Hinata isn't as excited, feeling as if she would make a horrible mother; but James assures her that she will be perfect. They eventually find out the baby's gender, a girl. Hinata says she has a name in mind and James smiles; already knowing the name... Aiko.

***So sorry this was so long! There is a lot more detail and things that go on in the actual story I am writing for them. But I'm still working on it. To be clear, I still ship Hinata and Riku together; but it's fun to see what would happen in different situations.

Also, I used a reference on Little Aiko, just an FYI if the structure of the baby seems familiar.***

**** This is a sequel to a previous story 'True Friends' I highly recommend reading that story first before heading to 'Third Beginning'; but if you would rather be a rebel that's fine too.****

Summary: The last we saw Hinata, she had an intense encounter with Riku as he was beginning to be taken over by Xehanort's Heartless. During the encounter she was nearly choked to death but Riku was able to momentarily overpower Xehanort and bring Hinata safely to her gummi ship before heading back to Hollow Bastion.

Chapter 1
                The sweet aroma of the flowers in the garden wafted through the air as two sisters walked through the stone pathways between the flower beds. They giggled together as their red hair floated in the cool breeze that brushed past them.
