week 93 of . theme was to draw a derpy pony.

well, obviously one simply can't pass up such an obvious opportunity to draw best cross-eyed grey pony, though i got the idea to draw other best pony as well. sort of a reference to my old "great and derpiful" pic ( [link] ), but sort of just a fun idea I got...

...yet again, at the very beginning of the week, as soon as I looked at this theme (putting all this usual stuff in its own paragraph separate from the actual pic description). yes, lately i've been in a great mode to draw a ton more and do a ton more with my individual pieces and really grow and produce a lot more, but for some reason, I'm just having a tough time with it -- again I think about the advice i've gotten to just not worry about the whole ATG thing while I work on just drawing freely and growing in a relaxed-yet-determined state; as long as i'm doing these I tend to think/worry about them too much rather than actually doing them until the deadline looms so close that I use that to 'push' me to finish them. now, most the last few weeks (barring that sweetiecamp one, but i was GOING THROUGH SOME STUFF that week anyway) i've been very happy with anyway, but I really need to do better.

Ideally, I want to keep doing the ATG every week it's around, and not stop with them, but I want to finish them sooner and with more of a focus on 'fun' and 'using the group as a means to get more out there' than such a heavy focus on 'i need to try to make this week's piece at least as good as last week's' which tends to come with a lot of worry and stress. however, it really might come to the point at which i start taking breaks or even 'grow past' the group completely as I focus on drawing in a more stress-free manner which WILL mean more, and better, stuff produced. I know the group SHOULDN'T present any stress at all, and again I WANT to keep using it WITHOUT that element coming up, but... if that fails yet again this week, I'm pretty much definitely going ot finally take a break.
