I had no real outline for the script so I just let the dialogue take me wherever. The last panel ended up writing itself as sort of a punchline, which I was pleasantly surprised by.

Not usually. Unless it's a really rare one, you can often get them for $12-20 dollars. Unfortunately I couldn't buy all of them for $3! So yeah, I just got a lot of them on eBay.
