If you could give me references to typical clothes, people living there or maybe even a typical art style from Guyana, it would help a lot to do a genie of Guyana.

People in Guyana wear the same clothes as what we wear here in North America but a little bit more dressy/formal. They were ruled by the British so the primary first language is English. The main race is west indian which ancestors are from India originally but when the Indian people came to Guyana, they took along their religion, culture and clothes with them. The natives there are called Amerindian. The country is very tropical and warm, located in South America just north of Brazil and west of Venezuela but east of Suriname. The other races there include Black people and people of Portugese descendants. The culture is influenced by the other countries in the Caribbean and but Indian tradition. Main religions are Hindus and Islam.

Yes, in my head, I have been thinking that they live in the French carribean, Martinique to be precise.
They sometimes go to France to visit Blanche, who lives at La Défense, near Paris.
I have been doing a pencil draft of the first chapter of their story (Julia meeting Aude for the first time).
