I was pretty pleased to find this fellow this late in the year. Then again, before I got my macro lens the last time I spent any time this close to the ground was when I was 5, lol.Related content

I like the colours in this picture. You've captured the lady bug at a good angle and the detail on it is exquisite.
I am unfortunately not as sold on the background. By leaving so much space around the lady bug the viewer can't help but wonder what's in the background, and the blur on the left side of the leaf looks a bit off too.
Consider sharpening the lady bug a bit more and cropping it to be a tall picture, there's nothing that says it has to stay photo size!
The detail on the leaf is also very nice, I am guessing to get that big a ladybug the leaf is quite tiny. You've captured it very well.

I love how photographing nature brings you back to that time. I love taking my daughter (shes 2) with me when I go out to take nature shots. She has THE greatest perspective

I think it's a good idea to look at things differently from time to time. Keeps you from getting stagnant.
